Parking is open at the train station and by the bridge
I believe there is a local "Enterprise Rental" in Charles Town. They "may" pick you up but really not sure. Definitely call them in advance. There is not much in the immediate area of the train station unfortunately and definitely no car rentals. For bus schedules, look up the local transit company, EPTA.
I see it used all the time by plenty of people to travel to dc and wherever else. But i dont know if it runs on saturdays
Two
I would check web site.
I believe it depends on the time, probably not during peak rush.
No long term parking allowed at Harper's Ferry.
No, not really. Just the limited parking in front of the train station.
Not a lot of parking at this station, lot fills up quick.
Historic and well maintained! Lots of railfans watching the trains coming through the tunnel across the river or around the southern corner.
This place embodies the history of the Irish/German poor that built America from the bottom up! Love this place.
Nice opened station
This is a really nice maintained station that is still in use.
The beautiful village station is still running, not seeing the bus, but a long line, it seems that the freight train will never be completed, slowly passing through the small station and the iron bridge, drilling into the opposite mountain. You can walk on the abandoned iron bridge, stand on the river and watch the Shenandoah River flow into the Potomac River.
Nice station from a time past although you have to wait outside,no bathroom or agent's so you need to track your train and guess what track to wait on.
A nice place to park if you'd like to see the Harpers Ferry National Park, and happen to be present outside of the park work hours. The train station is pretty much part of the park, easy accessible, and has enough parking spots.
Wonderful place
A really nice looking station
I love Amtrak!
Great scenery to hike in.
Eh.
I've been on the Capital Limited 6 times back-n-forth from Chicago to DC. Every time I get a bedroom. Every time the Chicago crew attendants really didn't care and its reflected in your experience. Dirty, un-attended but with a hand out at the end. Lousy food to say the least. Gross.
Small, quaint and unmanned station
A train casts a man scared ... Accident y On the platforms there is a yellow line side a yellow line painted a yellow sing that you..... i am deaf....spainh :)
A small, silent and historic station
